Overview

Our client is currently seeking an experienced multi skilled maintenance technician who is mechanically bias.

Job Specification

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Confer with engineers/contractors and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve machine malfunctions and provide technical information
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation
  • Provide feedback to managers with a degree of accuracy
  • Able to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
  • Establish and co-ordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule and supply of materials required for maintaining machines and equipment in the prescribed condition
  • Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers and other personnel to identify, define and solve machine related problems
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on all Plant, equipment and buildings

Person Specification

  • ONC/HNC educated in an electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Mechanically biased with electrical knowledge as an advantage
  • Previous experience, operating conventional lathes and milling equipment
  • Previous experience of working in a lean manufacturing background
  • Previous experience of working in a fast pace manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work at height
  • Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and unsupervised
  • Ability to manage projects to tight deadlines and to co-ordinate personnel
  • Quality and Health & Safety awareness
  • Experience on hydraulics and pneumatics systems

Hours of operation

Days - Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:00 and Friday 06:00 - 12:00

Nights - Monday to Wednesday 14:00 - 02:00 and Thursday 14:00 - 00:00
