Overview
Our Engineering client is currently looking for a Quality Technician to work permanent day shift.
Duties will include:
- Perform inspection/measurement on new product
- Prepare appropriate documentation as required by customers, and for internal purposes
- Perform inspections at various stages throughout the manufacturing process
- Provide support to Senior Quality Engineers regarding customer complaints
- Document internal rejects
- Create Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain calibration system, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and records maintained
- Programme/troubleshoot/operate vision system
Person Specification:
- Proficient in the use of basic measuring equipment
- Experience of operating a portable measurement system e.g. Faro arm
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Basic understanding of geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to demonstrate the application of attention to detail
- Work individually and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to carrying out tasks
Working Hours:
- 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday
- 08:00 - 12:30 Friday
