Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with sheet metal. This role involves operating press brake machinery to fabricate components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and precision in every task.
Duties:
- Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine specifications.
- Set up tooling and adjust machine settings for various production runs.
- Assemble fabricated parts as required, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilise hand tools effectively for assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficient in basic maths for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Familiarity with tooling and fabrication processes related to sheet metal work.
- Ability to weld is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
- Experience using hand tools safely and effectively.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Hours of Operation:
- Working 2 shift rotation pattern, consisting of days and lates both Monday to Friday
