Getting onto the list wasn’t just a tick-box exercise. We went through a rigorous process that included demonstrating our compliance with the Employment Agencies Act 1973, passing a detailed knowledge test, and undergoing checks by both NHS Employers and the Department of Health and Social Care. It was thorough for a reason. This accreditation exists to protect both candidates and employers, and we fully support that. 

For us, being on the NHS Ethical Recruiters List is about more than meeting a standard. It shows that we take our responsibilities seriously. We’ve always believed in putting people first, and now we’ve got the official recognition to back it up. This listing tells international social workers they can trust us to handle their recruitment journey with integrity, honesty, and respect. It also gives social care employers peace of mind, knowing they’re partnering with an agency that follows best practice every step of the way. 

Of course, this is not a one-time achievement. We’ll be regularly monitored to ensure we continue to meet the standards set out in the Code of Practice for International Recruitment. That includes ongoing spot checks, reviews, and reaffirming our commitment as updates are made to the code. We welcome this. Ethical recruitment is not just a label for us, it’s part of who we are. 

Being listed as an ethical recruiter by the NHS is a major milestone for EWRS. More importantly, it reflects the values we live by every day. It means our candidates know they’re in safe hands, and our clients know they’re working with a partner they can rely on.
