Our client is currently looking for a CNC Laser Assistant, the primary responsibility of this role is to assist the lead operator setting and operating a Bystronic laser machine.
General Job Description
The main responsibility is to assist in running the machine efficiently, working as part of a small team in a lean production environment. They will be responsible for hitting strict daily schedules.
Job Specification
- Assisting with the Setting/Operating of machines
- Using hand tools such as grinders and deburring tools
- Understanding engineering drawings
- Carrying out quality checks on products
- Ensure all jobs are batched, marked up and allocated to the correct places
- Pull jobs together and package ready for delivery
- Offload deliveries and ensure they are identified, stored and marked-up appropriately
- Ensure paperwork is filled in correctly and filed in the general office
- Learn the basic of laser operations and assistant with running and maintenance
- Driving the company van to make deliveries during busy periods
Person Specifications
- Previous experience in an engineering role would be advantageous
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and production cards
- Driving licence for using company van
Hours of Operation (2 week rotation)
- 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday
- 16:00 - 02:00 Monday to Friday
