Our client is currently looking for a polisher/inspector to provide comprehensive metal polishing and inspection services.
Job duties will include but not limited to:
- Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror
- Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components
- Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes and CMM or Faro
- Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts
- Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- In process and finished goods inspection
- Process auditing
- Calibration of measuring equipment
- Signing first and last inspection reports
- Reporting of non-conforming parts
- To ensure zero defects reach end user
- Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Must have PCN Level 2
- Be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training
- Co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise and attend appropriate training
- Be aware of and adhere to policies and procedures applicable to the role
Shifts:
- Monday – Thursday: 7am – 16:45pm
- 7am – 7pm
- 7pm – 7am
This is a permanent position for the right person
