Our client is currently seeking a skilled Metal Spinner to join there team on a permanent basis, the purpose of the role is to set and operate allocated machines safely and ensuring that all manufacturing targets are achieved.
Job Specification:
- Ensure full understanding of all production requirements and implement measures to remain competent and able to produce conforming components.
- Spin form various components ranging from 100mm to 3000mm in diameter with a range of material grades and thicknesses using PNC/CNC Leifeld spin lathes.
- CNC Turning various components ranging from 100mm to 3000mm in diameter with a range of material grades and thicknesses using PNC/CNC Leifeld spin lathes.
- Conducting accurate Inspection of tight tolerance product using manual inspection equipment and Portable inspection arms (Faro, Hex)
- Lifting and slinging of components, tooling, and machine ancillaries.
- Liaising with Tool Preparation Operatives to ensure the timely provision of all required materials and tooling.
- The Creation of new or amending current set up procedures.
- CNC machines are set up within target time.
- Produce components within agreed cycle times.
- Maintain and continually develop knowledge of all machinery and processes.
- Produce components that conform to all specifications listed on engineering drawings.
- Produce components that satisfy all internal and external quality control measures.
- Maintain visual checks throughout the process and take corrective action where required.
- Ensure components are identified with all relevant information.
- Ensure correct segregation of waste as per environmental requirements.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on allocated machinery and report major maintenance issues to the Cell Leader.
- Complete minor maintenance on allocated machinery within the boundaries of capability.
- Review and identify tooling, roller, cutter or other engineering components and report for repair or manufacture.
Person Specification:
- Metal spinning experience is essential
- Experience of setting and operating CNC machines
- Able to read engineering drawings
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Thursday
- 07:00 – 16.45pm (£17.65 per hour)
- 7am – 7pm (£20.65 per hour)
- 7pm – 7am (£24.06 per hour)
