Our client is currently seeking an experienced CNC press brake operative with Bystronic experience to join their ever growing team in Washington

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Bystronic CNC press brake and metal forming machinery to produce precision components.
  • Configure and adjust tooling, bend allowances, and machine programs for various materials (stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel).
  • Verify and approve first-off parts to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and oversee quality compliance for other operators within the team.
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical data.
  • Identify and resolve production or quality issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor and maintain machine performance and carry out basic maintenance or fault reporting.
  • Work closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure all output meets required standards.
  • Promote and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency at all times.
  • Carry out deliveries to customers during quieter periods

Person Specification:

  • Formal engineering or manufacturing qualification preferred (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in CNC press brake or metal forming operations.
  • Strong ability to set up, program, and adjust machinery independently.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (verniers, protractors, gauges, etc.).

Working Hours:

  • Day Shift: 06:00 – 14:00, Monday to Friday
  • Back Shift: 16:00 – 02:00, Monday to Thursday
